Hello!
My name is Katy Pluta, I was born in Germany on October 3rd, 1965 and lived in
Cherbourg, France for nearly 30 years before moving in Utah, USA with my family
4 years ago. I met with my good friend Shigeru while adapting FS aircraft models
for use with CFS in February 1999 when I was involved with Combat Flight Center.
I have been interested in computers since 1981 and the Sinclair ZX81 with its
"astonishing" 16Kb RAM extension, and cannot recall how many different
machines I built and owned for the last twenty years... My flight simulation
passion began developing with FS2 on Apple, and although MS Flight Simulator is
by far the program I use the most I also like flying nowadays with Combat Flight
Simulator, European Air War, Longbow 2, Fly! and Flight Unlimited II and III. My
other favorite computer games are the Total Annihilation and the Age of Empires
series, as well as Diablo, Sim City 3000, Pharao, Caesar 3 and Darklords Rising,
or Outlaws.
When I am nearby a PC and not playing/flying with it I am usually dismantling
it... I spend much time building or installing computers for family and friends.
Other hobbies of mine are music and reading, and of course the greatest is to
take care of my husband Philip and our two kids Melanie and William.
Former news editor for the simFlight
Network, now I collaborate with Enrico Schiratti and Jonathan Richardson to
the Project Magenta, and love "haunting" flight simulation dedicated forums to
keep in touch with what's going on in our small world, help newcomers and make
new friends, which also has led me to obtain the famous and honorable Microsoft
Most Valuable Professional (MVP) Award for 4 consecutive years.
Please enjoy this site and my friends' magnificent creations as
much as I did building it... maybe not as slow as I did! :-))
Happy and safe flying to all!
Katy
